This week, I decided to interview Ashley Sharpe’s gallery. What caught my attention in her gallery was easily the cat artworks that filled the room! I am fond of all animals, cats included, and thought this gallery was absolutely adorable.
Sharpe usually draws cats, as she’s always had a love for cats. As a young child, her parents owned a cat which most likely influenced her love for them. Currently, she does not own a cat but her roommate has one. She is a lover of dogs and all animals, similar to me, but especially is fond of forest animals. Some of her artworks are internet sensations, and others are pictures of cats that she captured. In one of her artworks, she was walking around her neighborhood with cat treats and saw a cat walking around, and decided to photograph it. To make it unique, she added a third eye on top of the photographed cat’s forehead. Sharpe states that her gallery is mainly a tribute for cats, as they make her really happy. She wanted to create a gallery that made her feel happy and comfortable, which I found unique. Another thing I loved about her gallery was that all of her artworks were drawn/created in different styles but they are all unified in the same way: cats.
This was a unique gallery to me and I enjoyed spectating and analyzing each one of her pieces!
